Accessible Trips

….The dream is coming true

In April 2020 the new, exciting venture will be on its way (on wheels). A ten year old dream is coming true – “accessible tourism in the Balkan”.

For many years, it has been impossible to answer the requests of travelers with special needs, on wheel chairs, who wanted to travel in Bulgaria and its neighboring countries. The requests came from a variety of people of all ages, young people, some disabled because of military service, older people who are handicapped and many old people  who were born in Bulgaria.

A new vehicle Renault Master 2020 adapted to travel and tourism equipped with a wheel chair lift and all the latest gadgets will allow the travel of two people who use wheel chairs accompanied by 5 more passengers and a driver/guide (when there are two people in the team a guide and a driver, only 4 passengers will be able to join).

Important! The vehicle adheres to all the strict safety standards of the EU and has a European license issued in Bulgaria which has been a member of the EU since 1/1/2007.

This special vehicle, the first of its kind in Bulgaria and its neighboring countries, will be at your disposal and allow you to vacation, enjoy and experience Bulgaria and other beautiful Balkan states, safely and securely. You will be able to in a most relaxing way with all your special needs met to perfection.

The vehicle is equipped with a wheel chair lift (up to 2 at the same time), an anchoring system for the chairs in the vehicle, 4 orthopedic seats for the accompanying passengers, two fronts eats for the driver and the guide, an upgraded ventilation system (warm and cold), a sound system, main screen, a refrigerator, Internet and personal lighting. In addition, there is an electronic system to open and lock the main door.

We didn’t save on comfort and neither did we do so in safety. The seats will be adjusted on each travel to the number of wheel chairs in the car. Without wheel chairs there are seats for 7+1 passengers.

We hope to harness our experience and knowledge accumulated over the years to organizing the best quality trips and making many more travelers fall in love with the Bulgaria and the Balkan (you can look at our website bulgariatrip.net to get more information).

The project “Accessible tourism in the Balkan” was made possible thanks to a connection between two Israelis who know the needs of the Israeli traveler and have been involved with Bulgaria and the Balkan for more than 16 years.

Moshe Mitelman  – a guide and owner of “Bulgaria Trip”, a specialist  in off road trips and organied trips in Bulgaria and the Balkan who dreamed and initiated this venture.

Shai Shtriks – one of the owners of “Balkan Sports” which specializes in preparing and organizing sports camps and international sports events in Bulgaria and the Balkan, who went along with this dream and carried it out.

Such a venture starts from the heart and not for economic reasons, but we hope that the existence of the vehicle will be economically viable and will also start a move in Bulgaria and its surrounding countries to raise awareness to mobility and accessibility and offer solutions to these weakened populations.

Good luck!
